I’m here… now what?

Yes, they do let ANYONE on the internet… as evidenced *here*

As I’m thinking through my vision for this little site, I’m preparing a get-to-know-me post. After all, you probably wanna know who’s writing, yes? (I hope you do – if not, you need to start checking your sources!)

This new adventure of blogging is exciting, and it feels so big. Where do I go from here? I have a few thoughts, but I also want to consider my audience. So, I have a few questions for you that come under this heading: “Now what?”

  • What’s your story? I’d like to hear where you’re coming from as we talk and grow together!
  • What would you like to know about me?
  • What interests you, and what would you like to see me write about?

For now, I’m thinking of a thoughtful post and a book review post on alternating weeks. I love reading (find me on Goodreads!), so reviewing is an easy way to encourage reading and share great books. Every week that I don’t post about books, I’ll post a more standard blog post.

Thoughts? I have plenty. Let me hear yours!

Thanks for visiting,

Bekah

Pilot…Debut…Home opener!

Well, hello! Look at that: I have a blog!

If you don’t know me, I’m Rebekah Llorens, a gal from the Midwest who is trying to figure out life as I go (which, I’m learning, is how a lot of people do it!). The medium of blogging has been on my heart for a while, and recent events have pushed me to the edge of taking action on my desire to write. God’s funny (and awfully convincing) that way. So, I’m here to give it a go and see what I can learn as I practice writing and practice sharing my writing. Yes, those are two different things! I look forward to sharing my reflections, lessons, and reasons to laugh and cry and think here.

This is new to me, so I’m experimenting as much as anything! I’m going to “stumble along” and surely make my share of mistakes (YIKES – failure and I aren’t great friends yet, as I plan to share eventually). In spite of and through it all, I hope to craft this space into an offering that fosters encouragement and hope, by the grace of God.

So, here is your standing invitation to join me on this journey in sharing what’s on my mind and heart. Feel free to question and comment, and help keep things lively here. The only request I have is that your words be kind, seeking to uplift instead of tear down. I’m happy to interact with you and hear your thoughts on material!

Thanks for your time. I look forward to sharing with you!
